My Story
How it Started
In 2024 I was on a family holiday in Devon and tried a felting kit. I had always loved needle felt products but had no idea how to get started but after giving it a try I was hooked.
What inspires me
I live in the countryside in Wiltshire, having moved from the City with my husband, two dogs and a cat. Looking to find peace, space and walks to tire two very lively hounds, I found it ... and more. The abundance of wildlife on the doorstop is amazing and fuelled my passion of mixing nature, dogs and the fibre art.
About each piece
Fibre Art is a slow process. You are agitating the fibres to form shapes and it takes time (and can be painful when you stab in the wrong place !). It makes me slow down and really look at the art I am creating.
Even a simple piece takes a least a couple of hours and some of the more complex and bespoke pieces can be 50 + hours. Everything is hand crafted, without patterns so that I can be sure each piece is unique, even with all its imperfections. I source sustainable materials where possible and use 100% wool.
